Ultra-secure quantum messages sent a record distance over a fiber optic network

A recently published article in Nature states that scientists have sent quantum information across a record-breaking 158 miles using ordinary computers and fiber-optic cables. Quantum data was sent over an ordinary telecom network with fiber-optic cables. Its whats called harvest now and decrypt later.
